The Ambler Area YMCA is a dynamic, state-of-the-art, 80,000 sq ft facility serving more than 14,000 members. The focal piece of the facility are the three indoor pools, including a family fun pool with water spray features and slides; a warm-water pool for walking, aerobics, swim lessons and recreational swiming; and a six-lane lap pool. These pools are surrounded with beautiful timer beams and stone walls.

Neptune-Benson is proud to provide the Ambler Area YMCA with pristine pool water, filtered through three Defender® Regenerative Media Filter Systems. Further development at the YMCA will provide an outdoor pool with waterslides and splash features, a splashpad, a bathhouse with locker rooms and more.

“This is my first time working with the Defender®System. We have three of your regenerative filters in our facility I have only been using them for a short while but getting used to the system was pretty easy. Over the years I have worked with high pressure sand filters and vacuum DE systems and I have become accustomed to the labor and mess. With this system, the time I spend cleaning and maintaining the system is cut dramatically, bumping once a day is a fair trade off for longer run time between media changes. Media changes themselves are quicker and cleaner. With the vacuum system, changing the media meant spending 5 or 6 hours draining the tank, cleaning the old DE off the leaves, filling the tank and coating the leaves with new media - and that was only one pool, now I can change the media for 3 pools in 3 hours with less water loss and less media use.”
