Georgia Aquarium
Atlanta, Georgia, USA

The Georgia Aquarium opened in Atlanta, Georgia on November 23, 2005, as one of the world’s largest aquarium facilities. Georgia Aquarium’s mission is to be an entertaining, educational and scientific institution featuring exhibits and programs of the highest standards. They offer memorable experiences and promote the conservation of aquatic biodiversity throughout the world.

Neptune~Benson has provided over 150 Fiberglass High Rate Sand Filters in 2005 to process the 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water in the facility, which contains more than 100,000 animals, representing 500 species from around the world.

In 2010, Neptune~Benson supplied 4 High Rate Sand Filters for the Aquarium’s second phase, the Penguin & Sea Otter Exhibits. In 2011, 22 Fiberglass High Rate Sand Filters were provided for the NEW Dolphin Tales Exhibit.

Neptune~Benson is proud that it continues to be the Water Filtration Supplier of choice for all Georgia Aquarium’s projects.

“The construction of the world’s largest aquarium requires experienced suppliers and contractors we knew we could rely on. We selected Neptune~Benson to manufacture all the sand filters for our facility. The support before, during and after construction has been outstanding.”
