Jabel Hafeet Glacier Development
White Water Rafting Facility, UAE

The White Water Rafting Facility is the first of its kind in the UAE and the 1st Phast of the Jebel Hafeet Glacier Development. Phase 1 also includes a large Surf Pool that is nearing completion.

The White Water Rafting Facilities include three different courses for varied skill levels. The Green Run is for beginners with a length of 375 metres, the Blue Run is an intermediate course with a length of 270 metres, and the Black Run is for advanced rafters/kayakers that is designed to potentially meet Olympic standards. The Black Run is 488 metres long.

There are two lakes that feed the different courses and both lakes have a pristine, crystal clear water produced by the filtration system that incorperates five of Neptune-Benson’s largest Defender Regenerative Media Filters. The lakes have a total volume of 16,400m3/hr (4,332,422 gals) turned over every twelve hours with a flowrate of 1,376 m3/hr (6,058 gpm).
