Yas Island Welcome Pavilion Fountain

Ferrari World is the world’s largest indoor theme park. Greeting visitors to this magnificent facility is a Welcome Pavilion that has one of the world’s largest and most spectacular water features.

This 8,268 m2 (89,000 ft2) choreographed dancing fountain greets guests and gets them ready for the excitement they will experience in the theme park that is everything Ferrari.

Aquatic Design & Engineering, Inc. designed the fountain and incorporated Neptune~Benson’s Defender Regenerative Filters into the mechanical system. There were many challenges in the project regarding mechanical room space, local water and discharge fees and water quality requirements that made the Defender systems an ideal choice to overcome these issues.

The fountain is separated into two features, Welcome Pavilion East and West. The East feature has three SP-55-48-2076 Defenders filtering a volume of 2,604m3 (688,036 gals) turning over every two hours with a flow rate of 1,294 m3/hr (5,697 gpm). The West feature has two SP-55-48-2706 Defenders filtering a volume of 1,736m3 (458,690 gals) turning over every two hours. The Defender filters deliver pristine water to these features further enhancing the overall experience for the visitors.
